Staff profile
In July of 2016, I became a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), qualifying with a BA Honours degree in Primary Education from Oxford Brookes University. I am currently teaching in Year 4.
Before university, I worked with children in a number of different capacities, such as: tutor; nanny; leader of a primary drama club; after school booster teacher and TA. During my training at Oxford Brookes University, I worked for an arts academy (for 3-18 year olds), where I was the head of drama. This was an excellent experience as I was able to help develop confidence, imagination and creativity in the young people I taught.
Outside of teaching, I have a passion for drama (surprise!), running, the theatre, anything Shakespearian and cooking. I love implementing my passions in to my lessons, engaging the pupils in cross curricular activities and developing their learning through creative and imaginative ways.
Bloxham Primary School have welcomed, supported and guided me from my very first day and still continue to, which is particularly reassuring for your first year of teaching! I am working with a brilliant team and inspirational staff, who all strive for the best possible learning for each child. The children in the school have also welcomed and inspired me in my teaching, providing me with something new and interesting every day. I am learning so much from each and every one of them and they make every day different and exciting, making it an absolute joy to come to work.
